Dear Parents,
Lá Glas
We celebrated 'Lá Glas' today to prepare for St. Patrick’s Day. It was great to see so many boys wearing green to school. We had green jerseys, green t-shirts, green jumpers, green hats and green socks.
Irish Céilí for third class boys
We had our own private Riverdance in school today. Ms. Clarke’s third class boys were delighted to welcome two third classes from the Scoil Mhuire GNS today for an Irish céilí. Ms. Donovan’s third class boys received a friendly welcome when they visited the Girls’ School. Thanks to Ms. Clarke and Ms. Donovan for teaching the boys the steps to ‘Bailí Luimní’.
Infant Parade
Well done to our Junior and Senior Infant classes who had their St. Patrick's Day Parade today on the Junior Yard. Thanks to Ms. Brennan, Ms. Friel, Ms. Ward, Ms. Killane, Ms. Maguire, Sarah Healy, Marian Hennessy, Diane Norris and Alice Norris for helping the boys to make all their flags and hats. Please check out our school Facebook page for the latest videos and photos.
Cake Sale and Big Easter Raffle Fundraiser – 30th March
The Parents’ Association (PA) will be running the annual cake sale on Thursday 30th March. You can find more information on the School website and/or Facebook page.
A raffle is a big part of this fundraiser and there is always great excitement among the boys when it comes to the possibility of winning a prize. The PA would be very grateful if parents or businesses would donate prizes for this raffle, especially any prizes suitable for the boys themselves. The PA would like to thank you for your ongoing support and generosity.

Seachtain na Gaeilge
Ba mhaith linn rudaí éagsúla a dhéanamh le haghaidh na coicís ar scoil. Béimid ag roghnú ‘Gaeilgeóir na Seachtaine’ ó gach rang agus beidh duais bheag agus teastas againn dóibh ar an Déardaoin. Tá na buachaillí go léir ag déanamh an-iarracht a bheith ag caint as Gaeilge i rith an lae ar fud na scoile. Tá roinnt rang ag imirt cluichí i gcorpoideachas trí mheán na Gaeilge. Leanaigí ar aghaidh leis an sár-iarracht.
Table Tennis League
There were a number of matches played over the past week. Our Division 1 team had a great league win over Ballyroan before losing out to a great St Ronan’s team in the cup. It was also a highlight welcoming past-pupil Rory O’Connell alongside his Castleknock College team. They proved too strong for our Team III.
