Dear Parents,
Readalong fundraiser
Our ‘Readalong’ fundraiser got off to a great start this week. Daire Wade from Ms. Quinn’s fourth class and James Lynch from Mr. Lynch’s fourth class entertained the masses when they read a page from a novel that they are reading on the intercom. Daire read an extract from ‘Teen Glory’ by Peter Regan Classes and James read ‘Horrid Henry’s Revenge’ by Francesca Simon. All classes have engaged in some DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) time at 12.15pm each day. Many thanks to Ms. Donnelly, Ms. Russell and Ms. Brennan for all their help organising this initiative.
Coding lessons from John O’Brien from Microsoft
The boys in fourth, fifth and sixth classes were delighted with their coding lesson from John O’Brien (father of Andrew in Ms. Geraghty’s first class). The boys were given the opportunity to create the game ‘Whack a Mole’ and everyone really enjoyed it. John has agreed to return to give Mr. Lynch’s fourth class a lesson after the midterm break.
Outstanding payments for coding lessons for fifth and sixth classes
There are still a number of parents from fifth and sixth class who have not paid for coding this term. We may have to reconsider coding in term three if there is a large outstanding balance for the school to cover.

It should be placed in an envelope together with the child's baptismal certificate with your child's name and school clearly written on the outside.
