Dear Parents,

Sixth Class tour to Kilmainham Jail

Our sixth class boys visited Kilmainham Jail today which was opened in 1796. Many famous Irish patriots were imprisoned and 14 of the leaders of the 1916 Easter Rising were executed there. The boys also visited the Irish National War Memorial Gardens in Island Bridge. Thanks to Mr. Clandillon, Ms. Teehan, Ms. Hennessy, Ms. Friel and Corrine Bagnall for all their help organising this trip.

Many thanks to Mr. Clandillon, Mr. Keegan, Ms. Ryan, Mr. Walsh and Mr. McHugh for giving up so much of their time to train the teams and bring them to their matches.
