Movie Night for Junior Infants to First Class on Friday 15th November from 6 to 8pm

There will be a movie night in the School Hall on Friday November 15th from 6-8pm for pupils from Junior Infants, Senior Infants and First Class. Thanks to our PA for organising yet another event that is covered by your donation to the PA (€100/€150). They’ve provided the following information for parents of movie-goers:

Here is some info to help things run smoothly and answer any queries you may have.

  • Boys can wear what they like and bring a blanket to get cosy if they wish (no toys or stuffed animals please)
  • You can drop the boys from 5.45pm onwards. Enter via the Junior Yard Side entrance.
  • Please use STREET PARKING as normal. No parking in the school car park. It is not safe as the children will be walking into the school.
  • We will be serving freshly popped popcorn, Haribo jellies, Moam chew bar and drink for each pupil. (Please notify any volunteers if you have any concerns or if you prefer your son not to receive any of these).
  • We hope to start the movie at 6pm sharp.
  • In order to keep all pupils safe and accounted for we will have a sign in system. This for the safety of the boys so we know exactly how many are in attendance and we can assign volunteers to groups/classes for the duration of the evening.
  • When you drop your son there will be someone to meet you at the Infant entrance with class lists. Can you please ensure you tell a volunteer your son’s name and class so we can check them in.
  • For pick up at 8pm we ask parents to wait outside the same door (junior infant at main entrance) and we will bring the boys out in class groups a couple at a time.
  • It will be dark and the boys will be excited so we are asking for your patience here to wait in line for each group to come out. We are doing this to ensure each child is safely handed over to their parent at pick up so your co-operation on this will be greatly appreciated.

We hope the boys have a fantastic night and enjoy the movie. Thanks, Parents Association

Lost & Found

Clothing from our lost and found department were on display in our school hall from 8am tomorrow this morning until tomorrow afternoon. The clothes that are not claimed by Friday afternoon will be donated to our local charity shop. Please remember to label your sons' clothes. The school plan to keep old uniforms so that they can be redistributed to other boys in the school. Thanks to Ms. Geraghty and Catherine Kelly for organising this display.

Ms. Joyce’s fifth class trip to Lucan Library

Fifth Class boys in Ms Joyce’s class participated in an interactive workshop all about bees in Lucan Library on Tuesday. This event, called ‘Dr. How’s Science Wows’, was linked to Science Week and was hosted by a scientist.

The boys were buzzing with facts and energy.
