Dear Parents,

Electric Scooters are prohibited

Electric scooters are no longer permitted on our school grounds. The reason for this ban is due to health and safety reasons.

Santa Claus visit

There was great excitement on Tuesday morning when Santa arrived to our school in a vintage car from the 1930s. Thanks to Alan Nason for giving Santa a lift. All the boys got to spend time with Santa as he visited each classroom. We are also very grateful to our Parents’ Association who funded a selection box for every child.

Lucan Community College (LCC) – changes to their catchment area

LCC have made changes to their catchment area. This will have no effect on our current sixth class but may affect boys from our current fifth class who are interested in enrolling in September 2025. Please contact LCC on 01-6282077 if you need any more information.

Cultural Awareness

Last Friday we were entertained by some wonderful poetry and music from France. Matthieu Higgins-Portet (Mr. Clandillon’s sixth class) recited a poem about a house in Paris. Mattieu’s brother, Elliot Higgins-Portet (Ms. Staunton’s second class) sang a song about a person knocking on a door.

Christmas Jumpers and/or Santa hats on Friday 22nd December for Vincent de Paul

We are asking all boys to wear Christmas jumpers and/or Santa hats tomorrow. The boys can wear jeans or tracksuit bottoms of their choice. Please give them at least €2 as a donation for Vincent de Paul so that we can help some poor families over the holiday season.

School Closure on Friday 22nd December

School will close at 11.40am for all infant classes on Friday 22nd December for the Christmas Holidays. Boys from first to sixth class will finish at 11.45am. Please remember that our school will close five minutes before Scoil Mhuire GNS. We ask that you collect your son first before collecting your daughter. Table-tennis

Well done to team two in table-tennis who had a great win over St. Ronan’s during the week. Team two includes Daniel Abbott, Conor Crowley, Adam O’Donnell and Matthieu Higgins-Portet. Thanks to Mr. Clandillon and Mr. Lynch for taking the time to look after our table-tennis teams.

Christmas Family Mass in St. Mary’s Church – 25th December at 10.30am

The Christmas Family Mass is always a special occasion on Christmas Day at 10.30am. Best of luck to Daniel Abbott and Matthieu Higgins-Portet who were selected to do a reading on the day.
