Dear Parents,
Maths Week 2024
This week we celebrated Maths Week 2024. Class teachers marked Maths Week during the week with various activities and some online games. We had daily maths jokes and riddles on the intercom. Mr. Shanahan’s sixth class hosted maths activities in the hall on Wednesday where all of the boys from each class got the opportunity to engage in a variety of maths challenges and games. All classes will also participate in various activities in their own classrooms throughout the week. Please check out our Facebook page to see the boys completing some of the activities. Each class will select a ‘Mathematician of the Week’. Thanks to Ms. Whitney for organising these events.
Hot Meals
I am happy to report that there is very little waste with our hot meals so far. However, there are a number of boys who are not putting an order in on a Friday and not eating the hot meals. Please call Carambola on 061-500200 to opt out for any boys not availing of the hot food
Cultural Awareness
Last week we were delighted to welcome Alexander Zielinski, Filip Pokoirowski, Timothy Pikor, Filip Tabacezek, Dawid Wisz and Antoni Wlodarski who gave us some interesting facts about Poland and read poems in Polish over the school intercom. We look forward to hearing some interesting facts about Romania and Moldova.
